Sublette Matters is independent local reporting covering government transparency, planning and zoning, public lands, healthcare, the local economy, and the issues that shape Sublette County, Wyoming.

We break down Board of County Commissioner and Planning & Zoning meetings, follow the stories that don’t wrap up in one afternoon, and publish the full, unedited recordings of the meetings we cover so you never have to take our word for anything. Every claim we make traces back to the public record, and you can check it yourself.

How our episodes are made. Some episodes use computer-generated narration; others feature human interviews and conversations. Every episode tells you which you’re hearing, and every episode is reviewed and fact-checked by a person before it’s published.

Who’s behind this. Sublette Matters is produced by Chris Lacinak, a Sublette County resident. For full disclosure, Chris serves on the Sublette County Planning & Zoning Board, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Sublette Matters is not affiliated with Sublette County government, and nothing published here represents the views of the P&Z Board or any county body.

Independence. Today, Sublette Matters is independently funded. If Sublette Matters ever takes on funding from advertisers, sponsors, or supporters, those funders will have no influence over what we cover or what we say — no one can buy coverage, softer treatment, or silence.
